By 9:35 PM , , , , , , , , ,

Hello dearies, i'm back with the first post of 'all things hallyu' in this post I'll be sharing my TOP 5 K-pop idols of this generation. K-Pop stars are known for their on-stage talents and their broad sense of fashion. From airport fashion to music video's and magazine concepts, K-POP stars became huge influences for countries across Asia, and maybe your own personal style/country. K-Pop stars tend to wear bold colors and they aren't afraid to try on crazy hairstyles or outfits for their style or album concepts. Today in this post, I'll share my TOP 4 of fashionista's of the K-POP scene, and get to know the artist a little bit more by looking into their sense of fashion.

DISCLAIMER: Do keep in mind, that these are based on my personal opinions and has
media influences.

2NE1's LEE CHAERIN, 이채린
Lee Chaerin, also known as CL and the leader of girlgroup called 2NE1 (to-any-one). Her fashion style is mostly urban mixed with punk and some little twists of herself. Not everyone enjoys CL's fashion choices because they are a bit daring, but CL is like 'I don't care!' This GZB is also best friends with the MOSCHINO designer Jeremy Scott, he even considers her as his biggest muse.
Like I told earlier CL is part of one of South Korea's biggest girl groups, 2NE1, all the members got an unique style which will be loved by people whom like to wear sporty-hip hop ish clothes. Members Minzy, Dara and Bom are all unique in their own personal style, Minzy likes to wear the sporty kind of clothes, Dara is the crazy one out off the four girls and always has the weirdest hairstyle meanwhile you can always spot Bom with her black or brown hair and her short mini dresses. Since 2NE1 is one of the few K-POP groups I still actually enjoy, I thought the other 4 members deserved a small shout-out aswell.  CL is actually trying to debut in the USA, with some help of producer/rapper WILL.I.AM. I'm not sure if CL will be received well in the US since critics are tough there. Ofcourse she is an important figure in K-POP nowadays, but she is also continuously trying to knock down the barriers for K-POP expansion. 'I've this side of me that people didn't meet in 2NE1' she said to Billboard on her birthday article. 'I want to represent Asian women. I want to break that typical Asian female stereotype' See CL performing with one of the biggest EDM performers right now; Diplo, who produced for 2NE1's brother group sub-unit GD&TOP, let me know, is CL going to make it in the American Industry? F(X)'s AMBER LIU, 엠버 료

Amber Liu, is part of girlgroup f(x). When f(x) first debuted under SM Entertainment, tons of people were suprised because of her looks. Because back in 2009 it wasn't very common to have a tomboy in a girlgroup, they were very confused about her because she was a tomboy, and a Chinese-American joining SM Entertainment, but they accepted Amber quite quickly because of her talents, and not to mention her not always understandable humor but I loooooove this girl, I mean if I was able to pick a best friend in the K-POP industry, it was going to her, no doubt about that.  On the other hand Amber was bullied back in Canada because of her fashion style, but it made her stand out in the K-POP scene which was/is great for her own popularity within the group and as a solo artist. 'I'm not like an ordinary girl and I behave very briskly, so there was no choice but to misunderstand me. When I was young, no matter where I would go (even Korea), people pestered me a lot, so I was often alone. People avoided me a lot because of the way I looked. They judged voided, bothered and cursed at me for no reason. I hid this problem from my family. I was embarrassed at first to tell them.' Amber also told the media that she learned from watching people like that was to never judge somebody based on their appearance. 'Each person has his or her own charm and it's beautiful to show it as it is.' I couldn't agree more with Amber after I finished reading how she overcame her bullying. Also after Amber joining the K-POP scene you see a lot more girls (or boys) sporting the androgynous look. Amber has the confidence that you need to be a fashion icon and to inspire others to express their own personal style. Confidence is the key. Want to see how Amber is rocking her own personal style? Check out her ''SHAKE THAT BRASS'' music video below to get a glimpse of this beautiful mother llama (Amber has a weird obsession with llama's but who doesn't like llama's?) and don't forget to shake that brass aswell. Follow mother llama on instagram (@ajol_llama)and get to laugh with her until  you'll love her like i do.

 BIGBANG's KWON JIYONG, 권지용
Mr. Kwon Jiyong or also known as G-Dragon/GD is one of South Korea's biggest trendsetters today. This handsome piece of guy has been signed under YG Entertainment since he was twelve years old. He debuted as a child hip-hop artist in 2001. It didn't take him too long before he became a solo artists after debuting in 2006 with BIGBANG.  There were some controversial matters surrounding his first solo album 'Heartbreaker', his title track sounded like Flo Rida's Right Round but Jiyong solved this problem by inviting Flo Rida in a remixed version of his title track. Aside from the controverial problem, G-Dragon always has been a fashionista. He always find a new innovative way to present himself. In fact when 2NE1 debuted, he let his stylists help them with their fashion choices. The reason I put Jiyong on this list is because he always seems to surprise everyone, if it's not fashion, people are talking about his hair. His hair has been yellow, pink, he even had a mushroom haircut, but they all looked very good on them? Not everyone can pull off a mushroom hair-cut!!
But G-Dragon is basically the male version of CL. Not everyone enjoys his fashion picks sometimes but in the end it's about what he likes to wear and not the audience. And if its fails big time, he knows it lmao. But eventually his taste of fashion will grow on you and you'll get used to it and you'll love it. He changes his style pretty much all the time, he is always looking for new things to try on for either a new comeback or media events. 'I don't really know what to do whenever I hear the words 'fashion icon' when I attend official events. I always wear casually at home and sometime I'm only in my undergarments'  Well Well, GD isn't always fashion forward I guess? Hahaha, check him out in his latest music video where he sports his style to the entire world to see (with label and group mate Taeyang) and get inspired, follow him on instagram! (@xxxibgdrgn)

SHINee's KIM KIBUM  김기범
Last but not least we've come to my final inspiration and fashion icon, it's Key from the boygroup SHINee. Key is probably one of the most avant-garde fashionista in the K-POP industry. Ever since the debut of SHINee, Key was always the one who would stand out among the group, even if it was only with the hairstyles. Key isn't afraid to try on a diversity of patterns of bold colors. When I look at Key's street-fashion/airport fashion pictures it looks like he's taking the runaway with him. Among this 4 celebs, Key is the closest to my style, I like to wear bold colors and weird patterns from time to time. His fashion style is a perfect combination of fashion back in the days and of trends of today. He likes to wear a mix of styles and combine Punk and Preppy and Gothic to create a total new look and it always looks friggin' amazing. Like Amber Liu, Key can pull of an androgynous look and he embraces it as well. Even SHINee has a busy schedule, no one can stop this divo from attending Fashion Week events. When he appeared on We Got Married he walked on the Seoul Fashion Week with his TV-virtual wife Japanese model Yagi Arisa. If only Key could be my fashion stylist, I would love him forever and never let him go. It doesn't matter which style you like to wear you can always find in back in one of Key's outfits. Key is also very busy with his hair, just like GD does. He also had every color, from blond to pink, he even had his hair colored with rainbow colors, how cool is that. He doesn't only change his hair color a lot but you can also spot him with different hairstyles. A favorite of mine was the hairstyle he wore in SHINee's Lucifer & SHINee's Hello music video. Do you want more daily doses of Key's crazy outfits and hairstyles, follow him on Instagram (@bumkeyk) to get to know him a bit more. It won't even surprise me if Key decides to start his own fashion label when he thinks it's time for something new aside being a member of one of my first ever favorite groups. If he ever starts his own label for real, I will do anything to get a clothing item from it. That is a MUST. Check Key out in his latest music video with labelmate (sorta) and one of his best friends Nam Woohyun as the sub-unit TOHEART.
